With support from the Australian Olympic Committee and SA Olympic Council the South Australian Games Appeal Committee established the Quarter Club in 2003 to underpin their fundraising program to support Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games Teams. Since that time the Quarter Club has developed into the most recognised and successful membership of like minded people in South Australia. Members can access activities centred around networking, corporate entertainment, business-to-business, boardroom sessions, plus exclusive member only events with a focus on Sport and Elite Athletes.

The membership is structured into two tiers limited to 125 members in each; Quarter Club (full membership) and Emerging Leader. This allows the Quarter Club to fulfil its fundraising objectives but also provides an exciting succession plan of the education and integration of young (25 to 37 year old) Emerging Leaders into the Quarter Club culture.

Each quadrennium (4 year cycle) the SA Games Appeal Committee sets a fundraising target to provide much needed financial support to the Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games Teams – the role of the Quarter Club is fundamental in meeting these targets.
